The Department of Health - Health Promotion Bureau (DOH-HPB) led by OIC-Undersecretary of Health Beverly Lorraine Ho released the 2020-2021 Accomplishment of the Bureau.
Since the enactment of the Universal Healthcare (UHC) Law, the Department of Health (DOH), through the Health Promotion Bureau (HPB), its regional counterparts, and other concerned agencies, have worked towards promoting health and well-being, and reducing inequity by improving individual habits through the development and implementation of the DOH Administrative Order 2021-0063 Health Promotion Framework Strategy (HPFS) 2030.
The HPB Accomplishment Report 2020-2021 showcases the attainments of the Bureau, Centers for Health Development, and DOH Hospitals in the development, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of health promotion policies, programs, and plans across social determinants of health, fostering the whole-of-system, whole-of-government, and whole-of-society approach in line with the vision of HPFS.
The Report likewise features the partnerships of the Bureau forged in 2020-2021, as well as awards and citations where HPB COVID-19 campaigns bagged international awards and recognition from a local government agency, such as Marketing Excellence Awards 2021, Silver: Excellence in Launch/Relaunch Marketing and the Bronze Stevie, Winner 2021: Communication or PR Campaign of the Year, COVID-19 Related Information while the Resbakuna campaign received 57th Anvil Awards, Silver: PR Programs.
